Application and team limits
How many applications and teams each plan holds, what happens over the limit, and how to get back under it.
Overview
Your plan sets two limits: how many applications your workspace holds, and how many active teams it has. Business and Enterprise have neither limit.
| Plan | Applications | Teams |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 100 | 1 |
| Basic | 2,500 | 5 |
| Business | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited |
The application limit covers the whole workspace, not each team. Jobs and candidates do not count toward it, and are unlimited on every plan.

What counts toward the application limit
An application counts until it is archived or deleted. A closed or rejected application still counts, so finishing your work on it does not free any room.
Applications always arrive. A candidate who applies on your career site gets through whatever your plan, even when the workspace is already over its limit, and the new application is counted like any other.
Over the application limit
Once the workspace holds more applications than its plan allows, its applications become read-only for its members. You cannot change an application's status, labels or other properties, or add notes, links or files to it. Attia refuses the change and says Your workspace is over its application limit, so applications are read-only. Delete some applications or upgrade your plan to keep working them.
Some things carry on as usual:
- New applications keep arriving from your career site.
- Candidates can still withdraw, reply and update their own profile.
- Loops and other automations keep running.
- Jobs, candidates, teams and settings stay editable.
The sidebar shows an Applications capped notice to everyone in the workspace. Workspace admins read Delete some, or upgrade, to keep working them. and get a View plans button. Everyone else reads Ask an admin to upgrade, or delete some. Select the minus button to collapse the notice. It stays hidden in that browser until the workspace drops under its limit and goes over again.
Get back under the limit
Two things lower the count, and one raises the limit.
Delete applications you no longer need. Open the application, select More actions, and choose Delete application. It stops counting toward your plan the same day. It stays in Settings → Recently deleted for 30 days, but you cannot restore it while the workspace is over its limit. Anyone who can edit an application can delete it; Edit applications lists who that is.
Let closed jobs archive sooner. There is no Archive button for applications. Attia archives a closed job and its applications together once everything has been closed and inactive for the period in the team's Workflow settings, under Auto-archive closed items after. The default is six months and the shortest is one month. Whoever the team's Settings management permission allows can change it. Job status has more on archiving.
Upgrade. Basic holds 2,500 applications, and Business has no limit. Only workspace admins can open Settings → Billing and change the plan.
The team limit
Free workspaces have one team and Basic workspaces five. Only active teams count: retired and deleted teams do not.
When the workspace is at its limit, Attia refuses a new team with Your current plan has reached its active team limit. To make room, a workspace owner or admin can retire or delete a team you no longer use, or you can upgrade.
Attia checks the limit only when a team is created. A workspace that holds more teams than its plan allows keeps them all, but cannot create another until it is under the limit.
