Workspaces
Set up the container your organization hires from — its URL, its settings, and how deletion works.
Overview
A workspace is the container for everything your organization hires with: teams, jobs, candidates, applications, documents, career sites and members. Every record belongs to exactly one workspace, and nothing crosses between them.
Keep one organization in one workspace. That is the model the product is built around, and it is what makes a candidate record, a saved view and a career site link all mean the same thing to everyone.
Each workspace has its own address, attia.app/your-workspace, and that URL key appears in every link you share inside the product.

What you get on day one
Creating a workspace sets up a first team named after the workspace, visible to everyone in the workspace. Its identifier is the first five letters (A to Z) and digits of that name, in capitals, so a workspace called Northwind gets a team called Northwind with the identifier NORTH. A name that carries no letters or digits falls back to REC. You are added to the team as its lead. This only happens when a workspace has no active teams yet, so adopting an existing organization will not add a duplicate.
You can rename that team, add more, or work entirely from a different one. Nothing depends on it keeping its original name.
Workspace settings
Open settings from the sidebar, or press G then S from anywhere.
Your own settings sit at the top: Preferences, Profile, Security & access and Agent personalization. Below them come Applications, Candidates and Jobs, then Features with AI & Agents and Documents. Administration holds Workspace, Request your company, Teams, Members, Security, Billing, Referrals, Usage, Recently deleted and Audit log.
Several pages are restricted:
| Page | Who can open it |
|---|---|
| Settings → Workspace | Workspace admins |
| Settings → Members | Workspace admins |
| Settings → Security | Workspace admins |
| Settings → Billing | Workspace admins |
| Settings → Jobs → Statuses | Workspace admins |
| Settings → Audit log | Workspace admins. Below the Enterprise plan it shows an upgrade page |
| Settings → Teams | Every member |
A member who is not an admin still sees the restricted entries in the settings sidebar, greyed out with an Admin badge, and cannot open them. Opening one by its address returns a not-found page rather than an empty shell.
On the Free plan every member who is not a guest counts as a workspace admin.
Settings → Workspace
| Row | What it does | Who can change it |
|---|---|---|
| Logo | The workspace image shown in the switcher and the sidebar | Workspace admins |
| Name | The workspace's display name | Workspace admins |
| URL | The key in attia.app/your-workspace | Workspace admins |
| Region | Where the workspace's data is hosted. Set when the workspace is created and cannot be changed | Nobody |
| Welcome message | An optional note shown to new members when they join. Select Configure to write it. Members only see it on the Enterprise plan | Workspace admins |
| Working hours | The days, hours and timezone that Loop emails to candidates wait for | Workspace admins |
| Delete workspace | Starts, or cancels, the deletion window | See Delete a workspace |
Changing the workspace URL
Old links keep working for members of the workspace. When you change the URL, Attia remembers the previous key, and an address that used it redirects permanently to the new one. Deep links redirect too, so /old-key/jobs/… lands on /new-key/jobs/…. The redirect stops if another workspace later takes the old key.
In settings, a URL key is 1 to 64 characters: lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, starting and ending with a letter or a digit. When you create a workspace, the key is 3 to 32 characters under the same rules. Some keys are reserved by the application, and settings refuses them with That slug is reserved by the application. A key another workspace uses right now is refused as well. Your workspace can go back to a key it used before.
Delete a workspace
Deleting a workspace is a two-stage process with a 30-day window in between.
On the Enterprise plan only the workspace owner can start it. On the Free, Basic and Business plans any workspace admin can. Open Settings → Workspace → Danger zone, select Delete workspace, and type the workspace name exactly to confirm. On the Enterprise plan, admins who are not the owner see the button disabled with Only the workspace owner can delete this workspace.
Nothing changes during the window. Members keep working, jobs keep running, and the public career site stays up. The button in the danger zone becomes Cancel deletion, and the text beside it shows the date the window ends.
Any workspace admin can cancel, not only the owner and not only the person who scheduled it. That is deliberate: the admin who started a deletion may be the person who has just left.
One thing is not reversible. Scheduling a deletion immediately revokes every active candidate profile access grant in the workspace. Cancelling brings the workspace back but does not bring those grants back; they have to be requested again. Both the confirmation dialog and the danger zone say so.
At the end of the window the workspace closes. Members lose access, the career site goes dark, and the workspace disappears from the switcher. Attia's nightly cleanup then deletes the workspace and its files permanently. This cannot be undone.
Working in more than one workspace
One account can belong to several workspaces, each with its own members, teams and billing plan.
Switch between them from Switch workspace in the sidebar account menu, press O then W to open that menu, or open /select-workspace directly. Switching is plain navigation, so two browser tabs can sit in two different workspaces at the same time.
A workspace past its deletion cutoff is dropped from the switcher rather than offered as a destination that would render empty.
Roles
A workspace has one owner, any number of admins and members, and an optional guest flag. A guest is a restricted member: they can sit in a sub-team without belonging to its parent team, and they are held out of workspace-wide capabilities: editing documents, managing career sites, and owning or administering the workspace.
Exactly one member holds the owner role at a time, and a small set of actions is reserved for them. The Workspace owner article has the full split.
Not available yet
- Import and export. There is no bulk import of jobs or candidates, and no workspace-wide export of everything a workspace holds. Narrower exports do exist: the audit log's export, for admins on the Enterprise plan, and Export CSV on Settings → Members.
- Choosing a region. Every workspace is hosted in West EU (Ireland). The Region row is informational.
