Attia for operations

The basics for people and operations teams: your own application statuses, saved views and how applications arrive.

Overview

This guide is for people and operations teams that run hiring next to their other work. It covers the basics that make Attia fit your process: your own application statuses, saved views and how applications reach you.

Each section links to the article with the detail. How to use Attia lists the other guides.

Basics

Custom workflows

A new team starts with these application statuses: Sourced, New Application, Screening, Interview, Offer and Hired, plus Rejected, Withdrawn and Duplicate.

Change them to match how your team hires. A team that hires warehouse staff could use New Application, Phone screen, Trial shift, Offer and Hired. A team that hires seasonal staff could add a Waiting list status.

Each team has its own set, on the team's Application statuses settings page. Application statuses explains how to add, rename and reorder them, and who can.

Views

Filters narrow a list of jobs, applications or candidates to the records you need. Combine them, then save the result as a custom view, so you do not build it again tomorrow.

A view is personal or shared. The custom views article explains who a shared view reaches.

Applications from outside Attia

Most applications are not typed in by your team. They arrive when a candidate applies through your career site. Each new application starts in the team's default status. Make default in a status's menu on the statuses page changes which one that is.

Applications can also be added by hand with Add application on the job's Applications tab. Create applications explains who can add one.
