Filters
Narrow a list of jobs, applications or candidates to the records that match the properties you choose.
Overview
Filters narrow a list to the records that matter for the work in front of you, such as the jobs you lead or the applications in one status. They work on the Jobs, Applications and Candidates lists and on the search page.
Use them to review active hiring, check who owns what, or set up a list before you save it as a view.

Basics
Apply filters
Open the filter menu with F or the filter button, choose a property, then choose one or more values. The menu lists the properties of the records in that list, such as Status, Priority, Lead and Labels on the Jobs list.
The list updates as soon as you choose, and the filter shows as a chip in the filter bar above the list. A list can carry several filters at once. Each filter you add narrows the list further, because a record has to match all of them.
To keep a set of filters, save it as a view. See Custom views for how Save in the filter bar works.
Advanced filter
Advanced filter in the filter menu builds a group of conditions that you combine with and or or. Add conditions to the group from its own menu. Between the first two conditions, click the word that joins them to switch the whole group between and and or.
Inside a group, Add filter group starts a nested group with its own and or or, so you can ask for, say, jobs in one status that either of two people lead. Groups nest up to three levels deep.
On the Applications and Candidates lists and on the search page, the filters in the bar can switch to or the same way: click the and between the first two filters.
Quick search filters
When you know the value you want, type it straight into the filter menu. The menu searches every property's values as well as the property names, so typing a teammate's name or a status shows those values right away, without opening the property first.
Date filters
A date property, such as Created or Target on the Jobs list, offers fixed rows: No date, then 1 day ago, 3 days ago, 1 week ago, 1 month ago, 3 months ago, 6 months ago and 1 year ago. Choosing 1 week ago keeps the records from the last week, and the window moves with the calendar, so the same filter still means the last week a month from now.
Custom date or timeframe… opens a date picker for a fixed date.
Build with operators
Once a filter is in the bar, refine it with its operator. Click the operator to choose another one, and click the value to change what the filter matches.
Take Lead is Kari on the Jobs list. Clicking is lets you switch to is not. Clicking Kari opens the list of people, and once you add a second lead the operator reads is any of.
Which operators you get depends on the kind of property:
- A property you pick from a list, such as status, priority, a person or labels: is, is any of when you have chosen more than one value, is not, is empty and is not empty.
- A text property, such as Summary on the Jobs list: is, is not, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with, is empty and is not empty.
- A number, such as Applications on the Jobs list: =, !=, >, >=, < and <=, plus is empty and is not empty.
- A date: on, before, after, is empty and is not empty.
is empty finds the records where a property has no value, for example jobs with no labels or applications with no assignee.
