Attia for hiring managers

How the person who owns a role shapes the job, follows its applications and reports progress.

Overview

This guide is for hiring managers, the people who own a role from the first brief to the hire. In Attia that person is usually the job's lead.

Attia keeps the role, its applications and its progress reports in one place, so you spend less time collecting status from others. If you are new to Attia, read Concepts first.

Shape the role

Start with a job

The job is where a hiring manager works. Use it to write down what you are hiring for, follow the applications and report progress. A job can have one lead, who keeps the role moving.

Begin with an outline

The job page is the front page of the role. It holds the description candidates read, the job's properties and its members.

Refine your thoughts

Documents hold the writing around the role, such as a hiring brief, an interview guide or a scorecard. Attach a document to the job to keep it with the role. The article explains who can read it.

Hire

Follow the applications

The job's Applications tab lists the applications to the role. Each one moves through the statuses of the job's team.

Keep sourced candidates in view

A new team has a Sourced status, for candidates you have found who have not applied yet. A custom view filtered to that status shows who you could approach next.

Understand and share progress

Gather information

Stay on top of several jobs. A custom view of jobs saves a set of filters under a name. Add it to your favorites to reach it from the sidebar.

See the trend. The job graph plots a job's applications day by day: how many it has received, how many are started and how many are processed.

Find where applications pile up. Insights draws a chart of the records in a list. It is available on the Business and Enterprise plans.

Communicate

Set a job status. A job moves through the workspace's job statuses, so anyone can see where the role stands.

Post updates. A job update carries a health, On track, At risk or Off track, and your text. Anyone in the workspace who can open the job can post one. Write with Agent asks Attia Agent for a draft.

Keep one record. Updates live on the job's Activity tab, and the newest one shows on the Overview tab under Latest update. People can read where the role stands without asking you.
