Notifications

Choose how Attia alerts you about important hiring and account updates.

Overview

Notifications help you keep up with important hiring work without checking every page manually. You will always see notifications in your Attia inbox. For real-time alerts and summaries, you can use desktop notifications, Slack, or email.

Use notification settings to decide which channels should interrupt you, which updates can wait for a digest, and which product communications you want to receive from Attia.

Configure notifications

Go to Settings > Notifications to manage your notification preferences.

Notifications are organized by channel:

ChannelUse it for
DesktopReal-time browser notifications while you are working on your computer.
EmailDigests or immediate delivery for updates you have not already read.
SlackReal-time alerts in connected Slack workspaces and channels.

A green dot next to a channel means that notification method is enabled. A gray dot means it is disabled.

To enable a channel, open the channel and turn on the main toggle. Below the toggle, choose which types of updates you want to receive through that channel.

Notifications are grouped. For example, if you enable status change notifications for a subscribed application, Attia can also notify you about closely related changes such as priority or blocking updates. You cannot select only one change inside that group.

Updates from Attia

The Updates from Attia section controls product and account communications, such as changelog emails, onboarding emails, privacy updates, legal updates, and DPA updates.

Some updates are account-level preferences. Others are required service or legal communications and may be sent even when marketing-style updates are disabled.

Notification timing

Desktop and Slack notifications are sent in real time. Email notifications can be sent immediately or grouped into digests.

Email digests summarize unread notifications. Attia sends them after a delay based on urgency and only for notifications you have not already read in your inbox.

Email notification format

Email notifications support two formats:

FormatBehavior
DigestGroups unread notifications and sends them after a delay.
ImmediateSends an email as soon as the notification is created.

To choose a format, open Email and use the Notification format selector.

Subscribing to work

Subscribing to a job, candidate, application, view, or update thread determines whether you receive notifications for that work, based on your notification preferences.

You are automatically subscribed when you create the item, own it, are assigned to it, or are mentioned in a comment or description. If you are mentioned in a comment thread, you are subscribed to that thread, not necessarily the entire parent item.

To manage a subscription, open the item and use the subscription action in the activity menu. When keyboard shortcuts are enabled, press Shift S to subscribe or Cmd/Ctrl Shift S to unsubscribe.
