Start guide

From signing up to a workspace you can hire from, plus what to do when someone invites you to theirs.

Overview

Attia is where your organization posts roles, collects applications, and moves candidates through a pipeline your team controls. This guide takes you from no account to a workspace you can hire from.

Two paths lead here. You are either the first person from your organization, in which case you create the workspace, or someone has invited you to one that already exists. Both are covered below.

Create a workspace

Sign up at attia.app/sign-up. Nothing asks for a company address, so the email you already use is fine.

Signing up opens a four-step setup. Leaving it and coming back starts at the workspace step again, so finish it in one sitting if you can.

Name the workspace and pick its URL. The URL key is what appears in every link you share inside the product, as in attia.app/acme. A key is 3 to 32 characters of lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, and it has to start and end with a letter or a digit. Attia checks it as you type and refuses one that is reserved by the application, one another workspace holds, and one any workspace has used before.

Choose a plan. Free is a real starting tier and needs no card, so picking it moves you straight to the next step. A paid plan opens checkout in a dialog on the same page, which means you never leave setup to pay. A workspace that already has a plan skips this step entirely.

Set up your profile. Your name, picture and title. They appear on your comments, on the work assigned to you and in the workspace member list, so a minute here saves a blank byline later. Skipping is fine; Settings > Profile does the same job.

Invite your team. Enter email addresses to send invitations, or copy the workspace invite link and share it yourself. This step is also skippable, and Settings > Members stays available afterwards.

Finishing setup lands you on your workspace home, which is a fresh Attia Agent chat. Settings > Preferences offers Inbox and My Applications instead.

What a new workspace comes with

Creating a workspace seeds enough for it to accept its first application the same day:

  • five job pipeline statuses
  • a starter set of job labels and application labels
  • one team, named after the workspace, with you as its lead
  • a career site called Careers, with a home page ready to edit

All of it arrives in the language you signed up in, English or Norwegian, and every piece of it is editable.

What is not there is example data. A new workspace holds no jobs, no candidates and no applications until you or your career site create them.

Join a workspace someone else created

Follow the link your colleague sends. It opens attia.app/invite/<workspace>, where you sign in or sign up and then land inside the workspace.

If this is your first Attia workspace, one screen stands between you and it: your name, picture and title. You do not name a workspace, choose a plan or invite anyone, because the person who set the workspace up has already done all three.

One account can hold several workspaces. attia.app/select-workspace lists the ones you belong to.

Where to go next

The Workspaces article covers the settings pages, changing the URL key and how deletion works. Teams explains how to divide hiring work and control who sees what. Jobs describes the job page and the properties a role carries. For your own account, Profile and Notifications are the two worth opening on day one.
