Favorites

Star the pages you come back to, then open them from your sidebar.

Overview

Favorites are your own shortcuts to the pages you open most, kept in the sidebar. The list is personal, so nobody else in the workspace sees what you have starred, and each workspace holds a separate one.

Keyboard

O then F opens your favorites in the command menu.

F adds or removes the favorite while you are on a candidate, and on the Jobs list it toggles the row you have focused.

Mouse

  • Click the star in the page header to add or remove a favorite
  • Click a favorite in the sidebar to open it
  • Remove a favorite with the X at the right edge of its row

Command menu

Type f and a space to search your favorites instead of the whole workspace.

On the Jobs list the menu also opens with a Favorite row at the top, which reads Unfavorite once the page is starred. Pages that have nothing to star leave the row out.

Basics

What you can favorite

The star sits in the header of the page you are on. These pages carry one:

  • the Jobs list and the Candidates list
  • a saved view on the Jobs list
  • a job
  • an application
  • a candidate
  • a document
  • a team's home page

Under Resources on a job, a document's row menu offers Favorite too.

On the Jobs list the star follows the view you are in. With a saved view open it stars that view, so the favorite reopens the same filters and ordering. With a built-in view open it stars the Jobs list itself.

Add a favorite

Select the star. The sidebar picks the page up at once. If the write fails, the star returns to its earlier state and a message says why.

Create folders

Hover the Favorites heading and click the folder icon on the right. A new folder arrives at the top of the list with its name ready to type over. Drag favorites into it, back out again, or up and down to set the order. The folder's own row menu renames and removes it, and removing a folder takes what is inside it too.

Access favorites

A workspace where you have starred nothing shows no Favorites heading at all. Your first star creates the section, between Workspace and your teams. Click a row to open it, or reach the same list through the command menu or O then F.

Remove a favorite

Each row keeps an X at its right edge, hidden until the pointer reaches it. That button removes the favorite. The toast that follows carries an Undo button, and Cmd/Ctrl Z reverses it as well. Starring the page again puts the favorite back.
